When Are Early Braces Necessary?
While many children will not need braces until their teenage years, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial evaluation by age seven. If Dr. Ehrmantrout identifies specific developmental issues during this evaluation, he may recommend a brief phase of early braces (Phase One treatment).
